In 1994 Carol and Cliff Harvey combined their lifelong love of dogs, their experience in instructing dog training classes, and their interest in teaching people and opened Dog Tags Training School, LLC.

Since then thousands of dogs and their owners have attended Dog Tags classes. Carol and Cliff put AKC titles on their dogs in obedience and conformation and have been involved in therapy dog work.

Carol, the current Dog Tags instructor, is an educator by profession, having taught English at West Virginia University. Carol has owned and loved many different breeds of dogs and currently is the proud parent of Niki and Georgi, German Shorthaired Pointers.

Joining Carol as an instructor is Laura Stiller, a dog trainer for over 20 years, who owns and loves Huey, a Blue Tick Coonhound; Morty, a Great Pyrenees; and four cats.

As a dog training professional, Carol is a member of the international Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT). She has attended numerous workshops and seminars and studied with such noted obedience and behavioral experts as Dr. Ian Dunbar, Karen Pryor, Terry Ryan, Gary Wilkes, Sue Sternberg, Patricia McConnell, Cheryl Smith, Pia Silvani, Jean Donaldson, Leslie Nelson, and Dr. Karen Overall. She strives to stay current with the most recent developments and research relating to dog training.
