This is who we are...

Carol and Clifford Harvey are the owners of Dog Tags and the two instructors. Both are educators by profession. Carol currently teaches English Composition at West Virginia University and Cliff is a WVU Professor Emeritus of Graphic Design.

In 1994 we combined our lifelong love of dogs with our interest in teaching people and opened Dog Tags. Since then we have trained thousands of owners and their dogs.

We have put AKC titles on our dogs in obedience and conformation and been involved in therapy dog work.

As dog training professionals we are a member of the international Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT). We have attended workshops and seminars and studied with such noted obedience and behavioral experts as Dr. Ian Dunbar, Karen Pryor, Terry Ryan, Gary Wilkes, Sue Sternberg, Patricia Mc Connell, Cheryl Smith, Pia Silvani, Leslie Nelson, and Dr. Karen Overall.
